Delia woke with a start in her Dormitory. She sat bolt upright, something she regretted almost immediately. She felt a surge or nausea ripple through her body. She ran to the bathroom as fast as she could and emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet.
She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and, with a shaking hand, grabbed a glass of water. She took a few sips and sat down on the closed toilet lid. The same thing had happened to her the past two mornings. What is happening? she thought. I never get sick. It was true, the only time she had been sick before was when she was five and got the chicken pox from her blasted neighbor.
Delia checked the time on the clock inside her dormitory. She figured she would have enough time to stop by the Hospital Wing and ask the Nurse for a potion or something to help her feel better. She walked down the stairs into the Common Room after getting dressed. She walked up from the dungeons and up the marble staircase to the Hospital Wing.
She only knew where it was because she had been forced to escort a first year there a few years back after he had broken his nose in a fight with another kid. She opened the door to the Infirmary and the signature smell hit her nose like a ton of bricks. it smelled like disinfectant and a little bit like dirty people. She wrinkled her nose and bravely continued back.
"Hello?" she called. "Is anyone here?"

Fortune is generally outgoing. She loves to be the center of attention, but not overly so. She does like to flirt with boys on occasion. She loves to make new friends and sometimes gets annoyed when people don’t talk to her.
She is also extremely nice. She loves doing things for other people, even though she knows how to say “no”. She doesn’t get mad easily, but when she does, watch out.

Mark Jones and Liz Jackson met in College. They were both friends with the most notorious party-thrower on campus. Once day he threw the best (or worst, depending on your view point) party in the history of the school. Nearly every person in the room got completely wasted. Naturally, this led to many hook-ups, and Mark and Liz were part of one.
A few weeks later, Liz made a horrible discovery. That one party to end all parties, that one night, that one mistake was going to change her life forever; she was pregnant. Her parents, of course, were completely shocked, especially by the fact that Liz had never met the guy before. They had thought their daughter was a responsible young women and would never do anything like that. Nevertheless, they supported their daughter in what would turn out to be the hardest nine months of her life.
The pregnancy was extremely hard for Liz. At times she thought she could barely handle it, and even considered taking her life before anything could happen. She dismissed these ideas, though, and a few months later, a beautiful bundle of joy was brought into the world. Of course, Liz had tracked down the man who had made her pregnant, and he was there to witness the miracle of life.
The mismatched couple didn’t know what to do with the baby. They decided that Mark would take her home for the first few days and they would go from there. They decided to name her Fortune, because even though it was an unfortunate situation that their little girl had been conceived under, they still felt that they were lucky to have received such a gift.
A few days later, Mark was situated at home with the new baby girl. He was gradually settling into this new role as a dad. Suddenly, the phone rang. He received the news that Liz had just committed suicide. She had been suffering from severe depression and it had finally been too much for her. Mark was stunned. He had no idea what to do with their child. He dropped out of college to become a dad. He got a job to support the two of them.
Mark eventually remarried. Fortune is now a lovely young woman. She had been told the story of her mom and was horrified by the young woman’s troubles. She vowed to lead a safe life and stay out of trouble.
When she was 17, Fortune had a pregnancy scare. She had been to a party and had gotten hammered. She had woken up the next morning naked in a bed with another man she did not know. She was reminded with a jolt of her mother’s story. Her period had come late that month, and she had been scared for her life that she was pregnant. She was not, however, it was just late. She vowed off alcohol.
Fortune mainly drinks water when she goes to parties or bars. If she’s not careful, though, somebody might be able to slip a little something into her drink if she’s not watching and who knows what could happen.
