personality:
Unlike most of the people on the tour, Seb wholly enjoys the entire experience of being in a band with a shot at a record contract. He embraces his near-rock-star status. He’s an enthusiastic kid, loves to meet new people, introduce himself, talk a blue streak to you about anything and everything under the sun. He’s not shy. He’s not straight, either. Well, not completely. He’s in the 60-40 range—meaning 60% of the time, he’s more attracted to girls than guys.
Seb is a true social butterfly. He loves to approach people, talk to people, get to know people. He’ll talk until you tell him to shut up. He loves his fans. He’ll pose for pictures, sign autographs, sign drumsticks, give hugs, let the girls touch his hair. He loves to make jokes and make fun and pal around. To Seb, a stranger is a friend he hasn’t met yet.
other: Sebastian is actually Holiday Harper’s long-lost cousin – but shh! They don’t know it yet!
parents: Phoebe (38) & Henry (43)
siblings: brother Caleb (age 13)
history:
In Dublin, there lived a family with two daughters, Lynette and Phoebe. They were equally beautiful, but Phoebe, being younger, had a bit more of a wild streak in her. Lynette tried constantly to rein in her little sister, but Phoebe refused to remain tamed for very long. She was a drinker, a partier, outgoing and an exhibitionist.
When Phoebe was twenty years old, she met at a pub a handsome young man, a tourist from Ohio named Henry. Henry was five years older than she was, but Phoebe was in hot pursuit. She was one of those girls who believed in living life to the fullest and taking what you can get when you get it. She got Henry later that night, in his hotel room, where they made love for hours on end. It was a hectic night for them both. A few days later, Henry left Dublin, leaving with Phoebe his business card.
However, more hectic things were to come—two months later, Phoebe realized she was pregnant. She tried to keep it a secret as long as she could, which was until her sixth month. At that time, she called Henry, using the number from his business card, and explained everything. Henry, shocked and surprised, flew to Ireland the very next morning.
Together, Phoebe and Henry confronted her parents. When Phoebe revealed that she was pregnant by Henry, her father was furious, calling her a whore and a disgrace to the family. He told her to leave his house and to never come back again. That was enough for Phoebe. She and Henry returned to America that very night.
Three months later, on the night of April 22nd, Phoebe gave birth to Sebastian Francis Howard.
Sebastian was a curious and content little boy, always climbing on things and getting into this and that—he kept his mother busy. As he got older, he realized that living in Ohio did not agree with him. He had a feeling that he was destined for bigger and better things, so he was constantly planning his “escape”. When Seb was nine years old, he enrolled in the school orchestra. He originally wanted to play the saxophone, but a demo on the drums was what sealed the deal. As soon as he held the drumsticks in his hand and began tapping away on the snare, he was in love. He was a drummer. He became very good at it, driven and dedicated. He practiced every day (much to his parents’ dismay). He was able to mimic any drum solo after listening to it only a few times. In middle school, he met Te Beck and Will Kellough, two boys struggling to start a band. Since you can’t have a band without a drummer, Seb offered his services. Within a matter of months, the Shake It Ups were formed.
Being so young, the boys never thought they would have a chance of making it into Euphoria as part of the lineup, but they auditioned anyway. Despite their age, they managed to impress the judges across the board, and they were accepted.
Seb’s parents were a little reluctant to let him go at first, but, after all, he was already 18, a legal adult—there wasn’t a whole lot they could do to stop him. All they ask is that he call once a week, which he does dutifully.
