The busy hand dropped the charcoal pencil and tired eyes looked at the piece of art that was finally finished. Every detail was scanned carefully; just to be sure the drawing was just as Derek had pictured it on his mind. Many of his fellow classmates thought of it as
an obsession, even the teacher thought that spending so much time
on a drawing was not sane. They were all right, as sad as it sounded. Derek was obsessed, but not at the drawing he was finally done with after spending so many days and nights working on it. No, the obsession was fixed upon the girl he had drawn. So many nights he had dreamed of her back when they were actually on the same city. Her face had slowly disappeared on his dreams. It finally disappeared completely, and only the silhouette haunted his mind. But not anymore. Derek had finally drawn her again, her face back where it belonged, on his mind, clearer than before. Sure, he did have photos and drawings he had done back in Riverside when he couldn’t think of anything else besides her, but those weren’t reflecting his loneliness and how much he missed her in New York. The drawing he had in his hands finally reflected everything he was feeling and what he was missing.
Jane Littleton. She was the cause of all the nights Derek was spending in darkness, just thinking of what had gone wrong in his life. He already knew what had gone wrong: his parents, but there was nothing else to think about. True, Derek could have thought about what could have happened if his parents hadn’t threatened him. Jane and he could have probably been something more than just two people that annoyed one another and still felt something strong for each other, but that was just too painful to think about. Sighing as his thoughts went back to that place that kept him awake at night, he kept looking at the drawing as a classmate walked up to Derek and stood next to him in front of the easel. “That’s pretty good Derek.” Arching his eyebrow, Derek looked at his classmate and smirked. “Yeah, I know.” The guy rolled his eyes and walked away, not even trying to argue with Derek. People around already knew of the boy’s constant mood changes, and how he never wanted to act friendly around people. Besides, anyone with half a brain knew that his ego was the biggest around. Derek couldn’t be praised anymore, or else his head would probably get three times bigger its actual size and explode.
But he didn’t care if someone wanted to argue with him, it was simply not the same. No one around had what Jane had: the power to make Derek annoyed and intrigued at the same time. What he needed was Jane, but that was something he couldn’t have. The whole world could wish Derek had Jane again, and it would still not happen. He was destined to just dream about her and wonder what could have happened if they hadn’t been separated. Hazel eyes were fixed at the drawing’s eyes that showed just what Derek had always seen on Jane’s, every emotion that ever existed. He wasn’t the same, ever since Jane had walked out of his life, nothing seemed the same to him. Now, he didn’t recognize himself most of the time, and the one responsible wasn’t around to make things better again. “I blame you.” Frowning at the drawing, Derek picked up the charcoal pencil and walked to the table where his backpack was. He was tired, not just because he hadn’t slept in a couple of days, but because he wanted to be back to what he had been before: the same annoying guy Jane Littleton had liked so much.

personality:
Friendly
People like meeting new people. It will instantly make their day seem even better than it was before. If nothing more interesting happens that day, they can have the story of them meeting someone to tell to others. Gabe is not like that. He doesn’t stop on just meeting someone and knowing his or her name. In his opinion, an acquaintance does not only mean having someone’s name. To him it means there’s the possibility of having a new friend to hang out with and to pull to a party whenever possible. Sure, there are some exceptions when someone doesn’t like Gabe or he doesn’t like the person, but they are really rare and something really bad has to happen for them to never want to be friends.
Expressive
If Gabe likes you, he will tell you, or show it. A hug, a pat on the back, a squeeze to your hand, or even a kiss will be sufficient for you to know how much Gabe likes you. This boy doesn’t like to keep things to himself. If there is something he likes, he will tell the whole world about it. There’s nothing that can embarrass him enough to stop his mouth from opening up and expressing his feelings. This trait is not only good, it is also bad. If there is something he doesn’t like, Gabe won’t keep his mouth shut. He will tell whoever is talking to shut up and to shove his or her opinions wherever they fit.
Social = Fun
There’s never a boring day with Gabe around. If there’s nothing to talk about, he will quickly find something to say. Just a simple joke badly told can turn into hours of pure laughter and belly aching. Whenever the mood turns awkward, he will instantly say something to make it maybe even more awkward or instantly change the mood to a lighter one. When the environment is peaceful and everyone is quiet, Gabe will get up and say something funny or will quickly remember something hilarious he saw or heard days, weeks, or even years before and will start telling everyone about it, even if no one wants to listen to him or the story isn’t that funny anymore.
Competitive
Since elementary, Gabe was never satisfied with being just ‘good’ on whatever he was doing. It didn’t matter if it was only a drawing he had to do in kinder of himself to show to the rest of the class. He had to do the best job or it was just a waste of time. His competitive side wasn’t much trouble during elementary since the immature side of him only wanted to play and have more fun than to show the rest of the people he was better. However, when junior high started, Gabe started to show off to others and feel superior until he finished high school. He was the first one to try and get the highest scores on tests, the best grades in class, and win first place at every sport he could do. Now that he’s in a band, he’s not only trying to prove he’s better than others, he will prove to everyone that the band he is a member of is the best one that was ever made.
Grudge-Holder
Getting angry over nothing is a great quality of his (note the sarcasm). If he ever gets mad at you, don’t even try asking him what you did wrong. The boy won’t tell you and will give you the silent treatment until… well, forever if he feels like it. People shouldn’t even joke about being angry with him. The joke might backfire and Gabe would end up getting angry at the person that’s supposed to be angry at him and everything would end up in a big mix-up where Gabe would win at the end, avoiding the other person and not talking to him or her for a long time. The longest he has ever stopped talking to someone has been three months, and he is just waiting to beat that record.
Perfectionist
Gabe loves to have everything around him to be just perfect. Everything that has to be done by Gabe must be inspected very closely before he can tell himself he is finished. The environment he lives in is perfect in every single way. Cleaning everything and fixing up things that need to be fixed are what this boy constantly does. If he finds something is not functioning the way it is supposed to be functioning, he will probably freak out. He worries too much about what is perfect in his work and what needs to be changed as fast as he can. Stress is a daily visitor to Gabe. It does not let him go until he has examined everything and is one hundred and twenty percent sure there’s nothing wrong around him.
Romantic
Many girls dream of finding that special boy that feels just the way they feel. Thinking of that boy that is just waiting for his other half to appear and giving everything to her, forever. Love at first sight, at that moment where both halves make eye contact and they can feel they’re meant for each other. Pretty cool, huh? Yeah, that’s just how Gabe thinks love is. Life being a movie just like Titanic, but without him dying because, seriously, who would want Gabe Gray dead? But he really doesn’t think his other half is an angelic girl or guy that doesn’t do anything wrong. No, his other half just has to be exactly like him: perfect in every way. Far more perfect that himself. Every time he has had a girlfriend or boyfriend, he has given everything to him or her. Poems have been written and songs have been sung for that special someone that won Gabe's heart. The world has been on her feet, not because her or she has asked him to do it, but because he wants to give everything to his love.
Simple
Sure, Gabe is slowly becoming famous with his band, but that does not mean that he thinks better of himself, especially when looking for love. Personality is far more important than just how pretty the other person is. When he falls in love, the love of his life is the most beautiful creature that has ever walked on the earth’s surface. Because of appearance not being important and personality being the priority, sex is not basic in his relationships. The things that make his relationships special are the communication and the feelings they each have for each other.
other: Famous daily quotes of GG Gabe Gray*
“Oh, oh, oh! Guess what!?” – Phrase he will use whenever something exciting happened to him and wants to tell a friend or a complete stranger about it.
“No, no, no, seriously, fa real”** – After joking about something he was supposed to ask, Gabe will say this phrase and try to ask again, but will probably end up laughing and forgetting what he was supposed to ask.
“Whatever” – Word used after an argument that he lost to show just how angry he is and how much he wants to forget that the argument ever happened.
“I swear, this one is funny!” – Whenever wanting to tell a joke, Gabe will convince his friends with this phrase before telling the joke.
“I think someone needs a hug!” – If a friend is sad, Gabe will hug said friend to make him or her feel better. If that doesn’t work, Gabe will open his arms and say, “I think someone needs a hug… me!” and will pout until he receives a hug that will make him smile.
“Man, this is goooooood,” – Used in various cases: while eating, listening to music, reading a book, or seeing a very cute person. Note: when seeing a cute person, he will change the 'this' to he or she.
“Sooooo?” – When he doesn’t understand a joke or a comment, Gabe will let the other person know by saying this phrase. It means that he is waiting for an explanation to then laugh or say something back. Note: He can change this word and use ‘and’ instead, but both have the same meaning.
“Bring it on b*tch!” – His competitive side starts after his phrase. It is constantly used before staring to play a video game, wrestling with a friend, or fighting with a friend. Note: whenever it’s a girl that’s competing against him, the term ‘b*tch’ changes to ‘girl’.
“Giiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrl!” – His greeting for a female friend. Some say it sounds ‘gay’, but it makes his friends laughs so Gabe doesn’t care how ‘gay’ he sounds saying it.
* Credit to my friend Nadia <333 for giving me the idea of putting phrases, even though she doesn’t know but I know she would completely understand that Gabe MUST have phrases to say. I love you dear! <333
** Credit, again, to my friend Nadia <333 because it’s her phrase. Chu know it is! xD <333

history:
It was the year of 1987. Nathaniel Gray was being shown what his future was going to be like by his father. The city? Las Vegas. The place? Grand Casino. Nathaniel was the son of the owner of said casino, and was being introduced to his new job: the owner of Grand Casino. His father was going to retire and spend the rest of his years in company of his wife on their condo in Miami, Florida. The young man was eager to start the life he had wanted for him since he was younger. His life was supposed to be wealthy and prosperous life with nothing to care about but money and business. That is, until he met Maria. Maria was a showgirl in Grand Casino. She had gone to Las Vegas to seek for a better future away from Los Angeles where her dream of becoming a singer had been destroyed. Being a showgirl, to her, was just as good. Her life completely changed when she met Nathaniel. It was love at first sight. But, just like in every romantic movie, there were obstacles. Nathaniel’s family refused to accept Maria. However, they did not try to destroy the relationship. Instead of threatening Nathaniel of taking away the casino, his father just turned his back and acted like there was nothing going on between Maria and Nathaniel. A few days after they met, Maria found out she was pregnant.[/size]
Gabrielle Gray was born on February 17, 1988. His parents got married just two months before. Of course, since it was Las Vegas, Maria and Nathaniel were married by Elvis Presley. Even though it wasn’t a huge ceremony, both were completely happy and Gabe just made their love stronger. Gabe was born a healthy baby boy without complications. During his first year of life, Maria and Nathaniel were always watching over him to protect him from any harm. As his second year got closer, his parents found out that a new baby was on its way. A few months after Gabe’s second year, Marco was born. The family only grew stronger and happier than ever. To prevent him from hurting himself, Maria was constantly keeping an eye on Gabe. It wasn’t an easy task since with the help of his stroller, Gabe ran all around the house without a care in the world.
The family grew more when a baby girl was welcomed into the family. Gabe was the light of the family, always finding new ways to make his mother almost have a heart attack but always helping with his little brother. Gabe also started school that same year. And it was the best thing that ever happened to him. The little boy was always running around and having fun with all of his classmates. There was no difference between any one of them. They were all his friends and all were good to play with. His childhood went on a happy one. With a loving family and siblings to play with at home and a bunch of friends to play with at school, he couldn’t wish for anything else.
As he became a teenager, his mind started developing and looking for some sort of passion. He turned his attention to what his father was doing and was amazed at all of the things that happened each night at the casino. Maria wasn’t too fond of having him looking around a place for adults and was always scolding him for sneaking in and avoiding the security, but he didn’t care. His likeness for the business was soon lost, noticing just how much work had to be done by his father and what addictive gambling could turn out to be. At the age of fifteen, his focus became music. As a kid, his mother had pushed him into piano lessons. He had been excited about it and knew how to play, but it just wasn’t what he wanted to do. Guitar was taken during high school and Gabe became good at it. But it still wasn’t what he wanted.
Just after graduating from high school, he and other friends started a band. His father wasn’t pleased since Nathaniel wanted Gabe to become a lawyer. This didn’t make the boy think twice about what he really wanted to do. Singing was his passion, and there was nothing that would stop him from doing it. The band was lacking a bassist, but it was soon solved when Jason walked into the picture. Sighted South was finally a real band, but they were still not complete. Jason heard about a new band and, although they weren’t that hopeful, they sent an application. It was a surprise to everyone when Sighted South was accepted. Now Gabe is happier than ever, more after telling his parents and receiving support from both of them.
