DETAILED
Aradia is basically your average quiet girl. It's not that she is quiet normally, but she tends to think that she's always bothering whoever she's talking to, so she really has gotten to the point of not talking much. When people see Aradia and hear her thoughts (as rare as that may be) they would tell you she's a romantic. She loves daydreaming about being in a relasionship, getting married, having kids. She basically wants someone to love her for who she is, and to not just act like they love her. Becuase of her history, if you told her that someone did love her, and that she's find someone, she'd most likely call you out on being a liar.
When you get to know Aradia, she opens up more to you, and will always try to make you laugh. Usually, she does this by being sarcastic. Being sarcastic was at first a way to make people laugh, it stuck. She's sometimes sarcastic without even knowing it. When the time rolls around that you and Ari are good friends, you'll realize how much she acts. On the outside, she looks fairly happy, it a bit quiet. She looks happy with who she is. The only time she's out of character is when she's asked about her history, which on that note will probably walk away from you.
So you're talking to Ari, you're great friends, and you notice that she seems sad. If you ask her about it, she'll most likely tell you straight of that she's depressed and had to take medication for it. If Aradia's not acting, and looks into a mirror, she hates what she sees. Ari's almost always dissapointed with herself, or finding flaws.
Even though Aradia's sarcastic, she can be serious too. She doesn't like to joke about every single thing under the sun. Ari likes to have nice long conversations with people, just talking. She doesn't like to be all crazy with her friends. That is, until she hits the bar.

DETAILED
When Aradia was born, she was born into a loving mother and father, who wanted her to be happy. That was the best time of her life, the beginning. After a while though, Ari realized that her parents had started to fight, a lot. She realized that the fights were also about her. After a good two years of non-stop fighting, they filed for divorce. That was about the time Ari started to hate herself. She never forgave herself for being the reason (or so she thought) that her parents broke up.
At seven years old, or course Ari wanted to live with her mom, so she did. Even though her Marissa (her mom) always looked tired, she always gave Aradia a warm smile when she came home from school. Ari didn't know what was wrong with her mom, so one day after school, she asked her. Marissa dismissed the question quickly, and so every day afterwards, Ari would ask her mom what was wrong. After doing this for about two months, Marissa finally caved: She was sick. And not in that 'I have a cold' way either. It turns out her mom had lung cancer, from all the thigns her dad had smoked. After having it for a year, she finally had enough money to get the cancerous part of her lung removed, which just so happen the me the entire left lung.
Ari was so happy when her mom got better. She didn't care that sometimes she had to clean the house by herself, or that they didn't have enough money for new clothing unless she outgrew in completely. All Aradia cared about was that her mom was safe.
Sadly, though, Marissa's cancer came back in the other lung when Aradia was 10. This devistated her. Ari was old enough to know that her mom probably would live to see her twelth birthday. Aradia and her mom spend a bunch of time together, trying to make it last. But a year and a half wasn't enough for Ari or her mom. In the July before Aradia turned twelve, her mom passed away in the hospital, leaving Ari with only one option on where to go: her dad.
In the beginning, Ari and her dad were happy together. But as time went by, a stubborn twelve-year-old who knew how bad smoking could be got into a fight with her addicted dad. After that fight, Ari's dad started to hate her more and more, until it got to the point of physical abuse. Aradia didn't know what to do, she lived her life normally at school, and was always trying to stay away from her house, even though everyone believed her dad to be a nice guy.
Finally, after years of hatred from her dad, Ari on a whim packed up her few belongings to live with her boyfriend, Thomas. He had told her that he loved him, and that he wanted her to live with him. Beucase of the circumstances, Aradia quickly agreed and moved in with him. She stopped going to school. Thomas had his own apartment becuase he was already nineteen. They had been going out for a couple months by this time. Sadly, Thomas had been lying all along. All he liked of Aradia was that she would have sex with him willingly. When she stopped wanting to, Thomad would get angry and yell at her. After about five months of his yelling, Aradia finally lost if and packed her things yet again, this time to stay at her long-time friend's house, Fortune.

India looked around for another moment, her wishes again being denied. She picked up her book out of her bag. She was back to the Twilight series again, which she was pretty sure she'd read too many times to count. Being a slight bit of a hopeless romantic herself, she absolutely loved books like the one she had just started to read, even if they did make her want to live in the book sometimes.
After a few moments, she was completely engrossed into her book, which happened most of the time. Her eyes darted across the page quickly, turning the page occasionally. She hadn't noticed that a guy, a very good looking one at that, had just sat across from her at the table, texting on his cell phone. His voice startled her out of her reading mode. She looked at the page number so she would remember where to pick back up and stuck it back into her bag before looking up.
India gave off a slight smile nodding her head. "That quite alright, I was actually looking for some company anyway." She let a skinny arm go out in front of her to shake hands. "I'm India by the way. But most people call me Indie." She added. She always had to say that she was called Indie, or people called her India, which was something that she didn't want. India, sounded exotic and socially elite, which was something that she was sure that she wasn't. Indie, on the other hand, sounded fun and bubbly like her. Plus, she wasn't very mainstream (ie, pink argyle socks in public) so she thought the name fit her perfectly.
