The luminescent lighting gently bounced off the facade of the venue; the atmosphere slowly starting to strangle the familiar silence by the throat. Loan bodies propped up on flickering street lights like unused puppets, only to send a faint look at the people who pass-by with a concerned look lingering in their eye. Silence was never so golden on his lone street; the only sound was the trickling of gutter water from the rain the night before. Surging through the veins of these lone people were just the heroine injections that got them here in the first place. The constant need for an adrenaline rush sent these people onto the most hostile streets, only to be brought back by a venue with as much hope as a leukemia patient. Though the building stood proud: constantly having music seep out through the windows; the cracks through the tampered walls, and the hopeful musicians that step foot to this haven everyday; begging for a chance that everyone else couldn’t offer.
Now, standing before you is the chance of a life-time; bands from across the nation have all been hand picked from one of the best music agencies around, and everyone is fighting for the chance to have cults of fans supporting their every step. You will break drum sticks, loose guitar picks, and even loose your voices from this one battle; this one chance to grasp the one dream that these souls have inside of them. Some bands, well, they will crumble under the pressure, while others milk the opportunity for every ounce it is worth. If you are the band to milk every battle cry and cheer from the crowd, then you will make it far. Although, the band who chokes on stage, trying to break out from their wallflower stage wont receive anything but a bunch of grief. But don't go and be selfish and try to help yourself, because without your band you are nothing. Just remember, home isn't where you make it anymore.
