Anyone who has been keeping up with the tour blogs of the bands on the Euphoria bill would know this next tidbit of information - especially the Scheduled Nurse fans. No, lead guitarist and crowd pleaser Milo Martin has not struck again. Rather, lead vocalist Alex Weathers, 21, eagerly shared some exciting news:
"...I asked Luka to marry me," he reveals, "I hope you guys can continue to keep being nice to me and not sharpen your pitchforks."
Now, who is this Luka? I did a little research. Turns out that little Luka Braden is only ninteen years old; and is Scheduled Nurse's head of merchandising. She hails from North Carolina and a somewhat broken home. Though Braden lived with both her biological parents, her primary caregiver was her grandmother until the age of three.
Braden's childhood was an abusive one, one that ended with both of her parents being jailed on abuse and neglect charges. Braden has mainly raised herself for the most part. However, her luck changed when she began working for Euphoria, where she met Weathers.
"They just clicked," says a source close to the band of the happy couple. "I was happy to find out that they were getting married."
So yes, Weathers and Braden are to be married - but is there a pregnancy also? Sources say that Braden is expecting the couples' first child sometime around Christmas.
Rumors started to fly when there was talk on the Euphoria circut of Weathers and Braden getting a quickie wedding in Las Vegas.
"Of course, Luka is thrilled about the baby," the source gushes. "She's had such a downer of a childhood and she can't wait to give her baby the kind of childhood she never had."
As for Weathers, he confirms with, "I'm quite excited about it."
"Alex will be a terrific father. He's fun and loving and eager. He and Luka will make perfect parents."
Well, is she or isn't she? The quickie wedding has certainly created a Euphoria buzz - but only time will tell, of course!
