Why do they call the small candy bars the "fun sizes"? Wouldn't be more fun to eat a big one? ___________
To say that the youngest member of the Plastic Flowers was a bit childish would be a massive understatement. Like the understatement of the century… or maybe the understatement of the millennium. Because Edwin Kokushi Hawk, generally referred to as Koko, was not ‘a bit childish’. He was far beyond that and there were those who speculated hew as dropped on his head around 5 years old and was thus mentally stuck at that age forever. They might have been right. With the exception of when he was writing, Koko was basically a little kid in the body of a 20 year old. Perhaps a somewhat sexually knowledgeable (more knowledgeable then you’re average 5 year old at any rate) and overly affectionate 5 year old, but still.
Of course his friends still loved home or at the very least tolerated him and Koko was silly and optimist enough to let pretty much any insult glide off his back like water off a duck. He was just weird and spastic and hyper like that. Currently he was in the tour caravan which wasn’t always the greatest of ideas because it was an awfully small space and the term ‘bouncing off the walls’ could often be applied to him both literally and accurately. Nevertheless that was his location. The rest of the band seemed to be out, it was mid morning after all. Koko was playing a racing game on his PSP, drinking a Monster and exclaiming loudly whenever something very good or very bad happened (it was impossible to tell the difference).
That was a rather subdued Koko for you. The boy had been known to do some crazy things, both in the public view and out of it, not that he thought about either. He just simply did what he did and… well that was it. But streaking through the compound was not beneath him, nor was baking cupcakes and successfully making them blow up in the little caravan microwave. Koko needed constant entertainment and stimulation otherwise he did crazy stuff. Crazier then normal.

Cosmo had known Koko since they were twelve years old, and they'd been inseperable ever since. They started going to band shows together when they were still in middle school - they knew that being in a band was their only option in their life. Cosmo honestly didn't know what he would do if Koko wasn't in his life - they were like peas in a pod, as his mother would say.
When Cosmo got a guitar for his thirteenth birthday, Koko asked for one for his, and when his wish was granted, the boys would get together every day to play and write their own songs. Sometimes they would take the PATH into New York City and play guitars for change on the streets.
Getting on the bill for Euphoria was like a dream come true. Cosmo couldn't believe that not only was his dream becoming a reality, it was becoming a reality with four of his best friends. And, thankfully, Koko was one of them.
Unfortunately, Cosmo never expected that living with Koko on a 24-hour basis would be so stressful - because it was. Koko was a ball of energy, and it did indeed get tiresome. He was like a five year old, one who constantly needed to be baby-sat, or else he did pretty stupid shit - like bake cupcakes in the microwave.

Cosmo, in Koko’s opinion, was pretty much one of the coolest people to ever exist in the history of life and afterwards. They had been together forever, best friends until the end since about age 12 and Koko wouldn’t have it any other way. They played guitar together when they were younger. Cosmo was just… he was incredible. Plus he put up with Koko and his crazy antics and childlike ways. Though Koko himself was totally oblivious to the amount of effort this took, he loved his friend dearly.
Because Koko really was a bit of a handful, though the boy himself wasn’t really aware of this. How could he be. He was self absorbed in the most innocent of ways. It just didn’t occur to him very often to look outside his own little bubble. It wasn’t that he didn’t care, because he did, it was just that mostly the thought of other people didn’t occur to him often. But Cosmo was always there for him, from their street playing New York City days. And to say that Koko would be lost without Cosmo would be an understatement.
And being on tour like this… well Koko was in it for the music and for his friends as well. He didn’t care so much about the fame or about spreading he music. He was just living it and it wasn’t really a dream but it was pretty close. And he was doing it for his friends more then anything else. Of course being on tour could be stressful too. Usually not for him because shit rolled off him like nothing. He just wasn’t bothered by stuff like normal people and he didn’t see the problem with doing something like baking cupcakes in the microwave and watching them explode. He was weird.
So yeah he kind of needed to be babysat. It was one of those things he didn’t give much thought to and put up with. He didn’t realize how bothersome and tiresome it was to everyone else involved. It wasn’t that he didn’t care, because had he known he would have felt miserable about it. Then again a miserable Koko was probably worse then a hyper, happy one. Because who knew what a miserable Koko could do… it wasn’t like anyone was over acquainted with a miserable Koko, including Koko himself.
“Cosmo,” he cooed happily when Cosmo entered the room. He totally forgot about the racing game he was playing, didn’t pause it or anything, just lifted his eyes off the screen and opened his arms for Cosmo, staying in his seat. “I missed you,” he said seriously. As seriously as he could manage anyway, which really wasn’t that much. The game then made a beeping sound at him and Koko looked at it curiously, squinting at the screen and momentarily, completely forgetting about his friend. ‘You lose’ was flashing on the screen. “Well fine,” he snapped angry at the video game, glaring furiously at the small screen. “I should eat you.” He asserted and promptly put the counsel down on the table, reverting his attention back to Cosmo.
“It’s a stupid game,” he informed his friend, shaking his head to clear it of the dissipating anger. He then opened his arms again. “Come here I missed to,” he repeated., to silly to actually get up off the couch.
