Sleep tended to be something that Aidan didn’t need a lot of. He could survive on 3 hours of sleep a night and function perfectly, helped along a bit perhaps by caffeine. But what rock star didn’t love coffee and Starbucks and that sort of thing. Or energy drinks. He didn’t particularly like sleep either. The darkness was okay and when he got particularly sad or depressed he longed for sleep and dreams and darkness. But at the same time he feared it. All together he had a fucked up idea of sleep and dreams and nightmares and they’d eventually make it into a song that he may or may not tell that band about that may or may not make it into a real song. He was secretive about a lot of his little songs, wrote them in a notebook, never shared them with anybody.
Today maybe he wouldn’t dream. He tended to have good nights where there was someone else there with him. Not in like a sexual or romantic fashion because he wasn’t a whore and he didn’t sleep around and when he did there was no sleeping involved anyway. He just liked having someone there, some breathing body next to him. It made him feel a bit more real, which he tended to forget nowadays and who knew why. So he was particularly happy Kat was making the 5 foot trip down the tour caravan to sleep with him in his bunk. No sex. Not that he’d have sex with her anyway.
It was dim in the little sort-of room and Aidan stowed his laptop away quickly, shoving it under the bunk. He was in boxers and a t-shirt pretty much one of the only ones he owned. Usually when he wore t-shirts he wore a long sleeved shirt underneath, cover up the scars. But Kat had seen them all, even the newer ones, and if she hadn’t, well eh didn’t mind her seeing. Because there was something about Kat that made them close, way close and Aidan loved her for it. He didn’t try to hide himself, didn’t bother. She’d be there in a moment and he’d hug her and they’d sleep and it would be okay… everything, all of it.
He didn’t really believe that, about everything being okay (there was to much wrong) but he told himself that anyway.

She wondered what he was thinking, but it sounded very appealing. There was no doubt that she would go, but first she would have to get changed. As of now, she as in no attire to go to over there. The girl walked over to her still neatly packed suitcase, and pulled out a black hoodie, yet a dark matching pair of sweats, with random holes and tears. Sure, the bottom part wasn't exactly covering for warmth but still, she wanted to look nice. Though she did slip on a pair of black ugg boots. She like to wear dark clothing for some reason. Her hair was currently at it's natural beachy wavy state, because she had gone swimming earlier. Her scent was of a brand called 'seduction', which she loved, and her make-up was done slightly, with dark eye liner and mascara.
And with that, walked out to his bunk. That would suck if the door was too loud and woke the other guys up, they didn't have any early activities tomorrow but they would still be ticked at her. A group of girls and guys staying in the same room for an extended period of time, could make one go crazy. Tours wasn't one of her strongest points, but who needs it right. Wonderful, on her behalf.
Finally she had neared the bunk. The girl walked up as slowly as possibly, in means not to wake up anyone in the nearby rooms. How polite, right. She crept him, he was sleeping, she rolled into the covers. "Hello," and placed her head on his chest.

He was drifting off, not really into sleep but somewhere close, lulled by the mere promise of a warm body next to him. But he wasn’t completely asleep, just dozing a bit, wrapped up in the covers in his boxers and t-shirt. He was interrupted by the slight creeping of Kat. There was irony in that somewhere. She was exceptionally good at the sneaking quietly thing and he didn’t even know she was there until she was whispering greetings and snuggling into the bed next to him, under the over, putting her head on his chest. He smiled without giving much thought as to why he was smiling (it was so easy with Kat to just smile and not worry about it) and instantly wrapped his bare arms around her thin frame. She was all bundled up in a hoodie and he thought he felt shoes on her feet.
“Why did you put shoes on,” he asked her in a whispered voice tinged with a laugh. It wasn’t like shoes would be anything but annoying in the present circumstance. Especially since they had to be very close or risk one of them falling out of the bunk. The beds were not known for their abundance of space. Of course Kat and him were both small. “You’re ridiculous Kat,” he whispered affectionately, stoking her wavy locks lazily. He loved this, this closeness with his friend. It was wonderful. He could feel her heartbeat, she could probably hear his.
“You smell nice hun,” he told her, not asking why she hadn’t bothered to like wash her perfume of or whatever. Not like it mattered. Knowing Kat she probably was dressed all nice for him dispite the fact he couldn’t really see her. That was Kat for you and he didn’t mind, he loved her for it. He had an arm wrapped firmly around her, resting on her lower back, the other hand was still running through her hair.
