Well, I'm sorry to say it's been awhile since my last blog. i'm running low on drama. Like gasoline, drama is available everywhere - but at a high cost.
Today, I'd like to focus on one relationship going on at Euphoria that does NOT involve Scheduled Nurse's Milo Martin - take a knee, Martin.
No, as a matter of fact, I'd like to discuss Sighted South roadie Ronnie Radke - who is also the longtime friend of Martin's paramour Katherine Rivera, also of Sighted South.
Radke, 23, has had a troubled past, full of abuse and addiction. His father is currently serving jail time on an unspecified charge; while his brother is an addict. Radke was on his own by the age of seventeen, and apparently it was all downhill from there. According to an anonymous source, Radke was also involved in a serious romantic relationship that ended badly. Details were not given on this subject matter - personally, I'd rather not know what kind of person would even consider being romantically involved with Radke.
Though Radke has had some life issues, it seems the one constant in his life has been the companionship of Rivera, 19. The source reveals that Radke and Rivera hold a close brother-sister relationship, and have been that way since childhood.
However, it looks like there are some stormy seas ahead for this friendship. Radke and Rivera were spotted less than a week ago in a local park in a Las Vegas suburb known as Silver Park. The two seemed to be on good terms until Radke exhibited a violent outburst.
"He was yelling, screaming profanity," reports an eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous. She was in the park the afternoon of Radke's temper tantrum with her two small children. "It seemed like an awfully big scene for a grown man to make."
Radke and Rivera exchanged harsh words that afternoon - while Rivera remained cool, calm and collected for the most part, Radke put on a show - the grand finale was Radke violently punching a tree until he began to bleed ... and then kept punching it. Punching it to the point that the blood dripped off his hand and into the ground.
"It was an interesting display of self-flagulation," says another eyewitness. "He looked like he really wanted to kill someone."
Kill who, exactly? What could have Rivera said to set Radke off like that?
The question I pose to the EMF promoters is this: do you really want someone like Radke representing one of the bands that has worked hard to earn this prestigious spot in the festival, competing for such a covetous prize? If Radke cannot control his temper in public, what might he be like behind closed doors? What damage may he be doing to other band members if he does so much damage to himself?
According to the eyewitnesses, Rivera's temper also flared at Radke's behavior and she ended their fight by stalking off, wiping tears from her face.
How can EMF promoters and organizers allow Radke to continue to be on this tour after this exhibition? Does anyone do background checks anymore? I'm sure EMF has their share of sick pups already, but none of them quite in Radke's lead.
I don't know, readers - what do you think? Is Radke a danger to himself and others? Or is he simply misunderstood and should be pitied?
I'm sure you already know my opinion. FREE RADKE!
