personality:
Will tends to be quite shy for the most part. Being primarily raised by his sisters had a lot to do with that. He was never rambunctious or apt to cause trouble. He found other methods of entertainment, but most of the time kept to himself.
His real personality only comes out when he’s very comfortable around people. And if he really likes you, once he gets started talking, he doesn’t seem to stop. He loves to tell long, random stories that don’t really have any sort of point or conclusion. Mostly, they’re of the “you-had-to-be-there” variety.
Will adores being on stage. He never really received a lot of attention at home, so the adoration of fans is music to his ears. He actually started out as an actor in high school, but once he was given his first guitar at the age of fifteen, he knew that was it for him. Nothing else would do – he HAD to be a musician. By the end of his junior year, he was a member of the Shake It Ups.
As a member of the Shake It Ups, Will is determined to make it to the top, despite being so young. He is confident that they have what it takes and are just as determined and driven as the bands that have been at it for years and years. He hopes that their age will be an advantage rather than a hindrance.

Will grew up in a perfect, white picket-fence suburbian dream. His mother was a homemaker in pearls who cooked, clean, gardened and sold Mary Kay, all with a smile on her face. She also happened to be a closet alcoholic. His father was an investment banker, a job that required him to be at his office for long hours and included traveling abroad. He also happened to have several mistresses scattered about the continental United States. Therefore, Will was left in the company and care of his older sisters Maggi and Carrie for the most part, and was brought up softer than a boy should have been. This made his father furious.
Determined to have his son not grow up to be a “fag”, he took the initiative to enroll young Will in football, baseball and karate – all of which Will despised. He did not enjoy getting dirty or fighting or playing sports. He preferred acting lessons. His favorite past time was watching certain scenes from movies over and over again until he could recite them off the top of his head, then he would put on one-man shows for his sisters. His father, frustrated, forced Will’s mother to shave off all of Will’s hair and to keep taking him to his athletic activities.
Once Will turned thirteen, rebellion kicked in. He refused to cut his hair for his father and quit everything except his acting lessons, which he had been doing all along on the sly. On his fifteenth birthday, his sisters bought him his first guitar. By the end of that week, he had taught himself three chords. By the end of the year, he was writing his own songs. By the time he was sixteen, he was the lead guitarist and vocalist of the Shake It Ups.
He hasn’t spoken to his father in six months.
