It wasn't in Milo's nature to be nervous around the womenfolk. He knew how to charm, to woo, to entice. He loved to flirt. He was an expert at flirtation. He was flirting before he could talk. A bat of his long, girlish eyelashes was all it took to make a heart melt. This is probably why he grew up to be so spoiled, since his mother and grandmother could never say no to him.
In high school, he made the underclassmen girls melt and twitter as he moved in the hallways, his jeans slung low on his narrow hips and his dark hair in his eyes. When he hit the stage, all it took was a sweet riff on his axe, and the ladies wet themselves. As he stalked back and forth on the stage as Alex crooned into the mic, he knew every female in the crowd was undressing him with her eyes.
To the untrained eye, Milo might seem like a slut. He probably was, at one point. Everyone went through that slutty stage, usually in high school, or early in college. Milo reeked of sex, he emitted it from every pore. He knew what he was doing. But to be quite honest, Milo was an old-fashioned romantic. He loved romance more than he loved sex. Sure, sex was awesome. He loved sex, but he loved romance even more. Sometimes, the two got mixed up in his head, and that is what got him into trouble with Kat.
Milo sat in the caravan, on the floor, the television off (a rare occasion indeed), with his acoustic guitar in his lap, trying to coax out a tune, sighing to himself. Sometimes, it really did suck being a sex god.

"Jesse's giiirl, dun dun, I wish that I had Jesse's giiiirl" Amy was singing again. And every time she heard this stupid song it lodged itself in her head for days sometimes. "Where can I find a woman like that?" She exadgerated her words so they were more dramatic and enunciated more on "that", making her sound quite silly to be frank. And she stopped in her tracks when she heard Milo and she was immediately silent.
"Milooo, save meee!" Amethyst pleaded, going and dropping down heavily onto the floor beside him. "I have eighties music stuck in my head again!" she mock-sobbed and propped her head on his should with a sigh. She and Milo had quite the history. They'd met in the band of course and had become really good friends. And one day they decided to try dating out for size. Amy knew first hand that Milo was a very romantic guy, and she had enjoyed the couple months they were together. But they both agreed that they didn't think it was going to work out and they called it off. Amy really didnt mind, it was just another name of her list. Her list of guys that were not her knight in shining armor.
Luckily Amethyst had this annoying way of wanting to stay friends with most of the guys she dated, so this didn't affect the band too much. Things were a little awkward for like two weeks but Amy just acted normal and eventually they just became friends again.

Milo raised an eyebrow as Amy "collapsed" into his lap, nearly whacking her head on the guitar as he pulled it out of the way. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said with mock sympathy. "That's an unfortunate situation indeed."
He and Amy had an interesting relationship. Though they were bandmates, they also had a dating history. She was Locky's twin sister; Lock and Milo were best friends, which made it even more interesting when Amy and Milo started getting serious. But Amy had ended the relationship before anything got too serious - much to Milo's dismay - which just happened to be just before the tour started.
"What would you like me to do about it, miss?" Milo asked her, putting the guitar aside. He and Amy had an okay relationship now, even though it got to be awkward at times. Milo would find himself flirting with her when it wasn't appropriate, but she would politely demur him time and time again.

"You shoouuld.... sing me something not from the eighties." She grinned. Amy really didnt know why they had broken up. It was a while ago and Amy was so used to things not ever lasting that she kind of forgot. Milo was amazing, he had respected her limits and everything and he was just... Milo. And she loved that. But for some reason or another, she didnt think it would work. She was looking to be swept off her feet and she wasn't sure if Milo could do that. But it didn't matter because he was with Katy now and even if she wanted a second chance, well... that would not only be totally awkward, it was impossible because he was taken. And why wouldnt he be? Milo was attractive, and he sang, and he was just so awesome. So yeah, she knew she had her chance and maybe she'd messed it up but they were still good friends so that was cool. She was happy with that.

"Ha. Me, sing. That's pretty funny. Good one, Ames," he teased. "Come on, if you want to be serenaded, go find Alex. There is a reason why he's the lead singer of our band, you know." Milo put his guitar back into his lap. "Or better yet, why don't you sing to me. You're way better that I could ever hope to be."
He was laying it on thick to her, he knew it, but that's the way Milo liked to play his girls. Oh sure, he could be sincere when he wanted to be, but for the most part, he just liked to watch the girls giggle and blush when he flattered them.
"You don't want to hear my crappy voice croon you a tune, do you? You'll just make fun of me," he smirked playfully.

Amy grinned "Im gonna make fun of you anyways so it doesn't matter." She replied with an innocent bat of her eyelashes. She knew a few of Milo's games. She knew how he was. And she didn't have a problem with it, it was what made him interesting. "Okay fine, maybe no singing buttttt we should do something exciting or something." She mused, stretching out her legs in front of her. "Something to get Jesse's Girl out of my head," She laughed quietly to herself, shaking her head. "Or we should just sit here and be lazy and talk about nothing. Either way..." She liked talking about nothing...

"Alright," Milo said. "Well...there's this one song I've been working on. I was wondering...um, well...this is kind of weird to talk about." He cleared his throat. "Well, Ames, you're a girl. Do you think you could give me your opinion on something?"
He positioned his guitar and began to strum a tune. "I've been working on this song...and well, it's for this girl that I like. She, um...well, if I play a little bit for you, will you let me know what you think?"

"Yes, I am a girl," She teased "Very perceptive of you," but she got serious when he started getting all nervous and she nodded. "Yeah of course," She said seriously, brushing her hair behind her ear and turning so she could listen better. Amy had never had a song written about her before. She thought that would probably be the coolest thing in the world. But then again the guys she dated never usually lasted long enough to the song writing stage... but oh well. Amy could live with it. One day she'd find the guy right for her. Until then she would just have to be content listening to songs guys wrote for other girls.

"Really? Okay," Milo said, adjusting the guitar in his lap. He chuckled nervously. "Be nice, okay? I've never really written something for someone before and you know how much I islike my own singing voice." He cleared his throat and began to play a folky little tune before he began to sing,
"You're a part time lover and a full time friend The monkey on you're back is the latest trend I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you
I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you.
Here is the church and here is the steeple We sure are cute for two ugly people I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you.
The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me So why can't, you forgive me? I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else But you..."
Milo stopped playing and looked up. "That's all I got so far. What do you think?"
(song is actually "Anyone Else But You" by the Moldy Peaches)[/i]

Amy kind of zoned out a little, really surprised, to be honest. For a fleeting moment she felt a pang of some nasty sort of emotion. Jealousy maybe? She wished he was singing it to her but she knew he was just singing it for her to hear. It wasnt hers. Oh, she was completely over Milo. Honest. But she did wish she had somebody like him in her life, she got really tired of finding all the wrong people. She wanted what he apparently had with this mystery girl. And sometimes, despite her usual optimistic attitude, she did get the feeling she would never have that.
Then he spoke and woke her from her thoughts. "Wow... Milo, that was amazing." She said seriously, unable to come up with something funny to say, or even something to tease him with, which was probably a first.

Milo blushed. "Really? You're not just being nice, right? I mean, I asked you to be nice, but not like, lay it on thick, you know?" He smiled sheepishly and moved the guitar out of the way and leaned in to pull her into a hug. "Thanks, Ames. Really. You look a little zoned out. Everything okay? Was the song that bad that you tuned it out?"

Amy laughed a little and shook her head, "No the song was great," the girl insisted. "She'll love it, and if she doesn't you have to break up with her pronto because that girl has some issues." She hugged her friend back while he asked if everything was okay. "No, everythings fine, Mi. Just been one of those long days, you know?" Amy smiled slightly as their hug ended and she sat back again, keeping the small smile on her face as she slowly gazed around their little caravan.
The caravans intrigued Amethyst. She'd never really gone camping before or anything and the tents kind of reminded her of something out of Bible times but they were pretty cool... and bigger than a bus, thank goodness.

"Yeah, I feel you," he said with a small, sympathetic smile. "Are you homesick at all? I know I am. We just started and I'm so ready to head back to New York. I mean, the only person waiting for me back there is my dog, but I miss staying in one place." He sat back, leaning against the couch. "I'm glad you like the song. I still think it needs work, though. I'm not too great at writing lyrics."

"Yeah a little," Amethyst said thoughtfully, picking a spot on her pants. "I miss my kitty," she smiled after he mentioned his dog. "But this festival is pretty awesome, I love always being around people so I don't usually have time to be homesick for long anyways," she leaned back against the couch again as she thought for a moment.
Amy nodded as he mentioned the song again "Well its a great start, seriously." She said with a nod. "It'll be really good when you're done," She smiled encouragingly and brushed her hair out of her eyes again. For some reason it always fell back again.

"We're like gypsies, aren't we?" Milo said with a small smile. "Only with worse luck and less gold." He folded his arms behind his head. "You know, when I was a kid, I used to dream of a life like this. Traveling with my music. I thought it was the coolest fucking life in the entire world. Who knew I'd actually get to do it, right? Too bad it sucks harder than I imagined it would. At least I'm with some of my best friends." He quickly caught Amy in a headlock, pulling her down and kissing the top of her head in a brotherly manner.
(mmm yeah, totally stole song lyrics from FOB for that first line...)
